International Tournaments

This is where the action really heats up. Both domestic and overseas tournaments present bags of fun and amazing experiences for both players and parents. Parents can enjoy a relaxing vacation, while your children test their skills against teams on an international stage.

Friendships are made, bonds are strengthened. Here, kids learn to respect and appreciate other cultures through a shared passion for the game.

ISA participates in international tournaments across SE Asia and Europe. The majority of tournaments are highly competitive and as such its the players from the top teams in each age group that are usually selected and whose parents are more often willing to put in the time, expense and commitment to share the experience.

The nature of these tournaments does gear selections toward the players in the top teams & this might be construed as a little unfair whilst understandable.  What we see time and again is the young players who really want it, work harder to develop and then get recognized as capable and committed. They demonstrate a strong will to win - after all, the world we all live in is indeed competitive and those who want it most, tend to get it.

A list of International Tournaments with ISA participation is as below:

Cuki Cup, Bangkok Thailand

Dato Chu Tournament Trophy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A well-established S.E Asian football tournament. It attracts some of the best teams & academies from Malaysia & the local region. ISA is currently the holder of the DATO CHU Challenge Trophy.

LAST YEAR The trophy is awarded to the most successful academy in the tournament and in December last year ISA won 3 out of 5 age group finals: U9, U13 & U15 – beating JSSL teams in the finals. Victorious in multiple age groups, ISA won the overall Dato Chu Challenge Trophy.

We look forward to the opportunity of defending the trophy. Whilst acknowledging that the event has grown tremendously over the years, the organizers do need to re-think logistics ahead of this year’ event.

Hanoi Youth Football League Tournament:  March Hanoi, Vietnam

HYFL was the fifth edition of this Asian cup competition. The tournament is a fun-filled football weekend with competing teams from across Vietnam & South East Asia.

Our trips are not just about football but also a great chance for players to socialize, make new friends & develop their social skills.  Hanoi has proven to be a great success across all these elements.
